Jenny joined Mobile Bristol as a Research assistant with the University of Bristol in April 2003.

Her role is to contribute to the Experience and Lifestyles Research program through the planning, collection and analysis of data collected from “users”. To date, a large focus of her work has been on the Schminky project (carrying out usability testing, helping in the design of the user interface and observing and questioning people playing Schminky).

She is currently working on a Lifestyles research project looking at stresses in the lives of working parents.

Jenny’s background is in Applied Psychology, having worked and studied in a diversity of areas from mental health and criminology to her current focus in Human-Computer Interaction and User Studies. She carried out an internship for her Masters (in the Design and Evaluation of Advanced Interactive Systems) at Xerox Research Centre Europe and subsequently joined Hewlett-Packard Labs in March 2002 as a User Researcher. From there she went on to join the Mobile Bristol Team.

Jenny enjoys motor-biking, walking and camping and can sometimes be seen around Bristol enjoying a pint or two of cider.
